Gwadar: District leadership of Balochistan National Party (BNP) has said that claims of development of Gwadar are Eyewash.
This statement was made by BNP leaders in a protest demonstration which was held at Shuada-e-Jeewani Chowk, on Thursday.
Protest demonstration was addressed by Jabbar Baloch, Sarfraz Togapi and councilor Shahid Ishaque and others.

Criticizing the arrangements in the program of Prime Minister (PM) in Gwadar on the same day, protestors lamented that local government representatives were ignored and the irrelevant people were given space in the inauguration programs.
People of Gwadar are deprived of basic facilities such as water and electricity and PM made claims of development of Gwadar, lamented the protestors. They feared “In the name of mega projects local citizens of Gwadar will be exploited.”
“People of Gwadar suffer several hours of Load shedding on daily basis and QESCO claims that it’s due to line faults but during the entire visit of PM there was no load shedding. Are line faults only for common public,” questioned the protestors.

They added that MPA of Gwadar has approved funds of millions of Rupees for electricity but provincial government is not taking interest.
Earlier in the day PM Nawaz Sharif inaugurated several China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects in Gwadar.
Addressing the inauguration gatherings, He said “About 50,000 jobs will be created in Gwadar. First priority will be to facilitate the local residents of Gwadar as it is their first right.”
