Balochistan has got just two medical colleges namely Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences (QIMS) and Bolan Medical College (BMC). Students preparing for medical tests mostly prefer BMC as optimum option for further studies.
BMC as a governmental medical college conducts entry tests every year and approximately 2,000 students apply for it.
The test of BMC is conducted through National Testing Service (NTS). NTS conducts tests of many other colleges and jobs too. Many students from many remote areas struggle and hardly afford the rates of hostels and flats just to clear the tests.
A Year ago, Express news channel and Roz news channel disclosed the story of those all people who have been destroying the lives of students by defrauding them. The both news channels were emphasizing that NTS is a family limited company that is just making money for 10 years. The CEO of NTS “Haroon Rasheed” who claims to be the powerful person but it was shown in News that his Degree his fake.
According to the laws and rules of any company the CEO of a company must be changed after his limited time of duty but since NTS was established, it has got the same CEO.
Under his authority, seats are being sold by local agents. When the entry test of BMC is to be conducted so the keys and questions are already told by the director of an academy currently running in Quetta and those students who have crammed the keys already know what will come in test too. When the result is announced so the students of same academy take the seat of BMC just after a long practice of rote learning. While students of other academies studying 24 hours conceptually become disheartened after not qualifying.
The Question paper made by the person distributes the same copy of question paper to his students and his students easily take the test. The keys are leaked to certain students just a night earlier for up to 1 million rupees.
The main two blunders that NTS is making are:
  • Leaking answer keys at academy level and telling the students that out of these dockets up to 85% test will come.
  • Selling seats and keys just for money and destroying the lives of other students.
On September 14, 2015, videos were uploaded on YouTube named as “NTS Fraud.” There it was said that NTS has earned billions of rupees by so-called testing service. NTS was banned in PUNJAB due to its unfair results. The income of NTS in 2013 was 190 million and in 2014 suddenly it raised to 1.1 billion.
Lahore high court announced that “NTS can’t conduct any test, according to law, other exams taken by NTS will be considered illegal.” He further said that HEC can’t hand over its tests to NTS anymore.
Therefore, it’s the right time to ban NTS in Balochistan as well and prevent it from defrauding the candidates in Balochistan.
