Quetta: A condolence reference was held to pay tribute to late Abdullah Jan Jamaldini in Quetta Press Club, on Sunday.
Abdullah Jan Jamaldini had passed away last month in Quetta at the age of 94.
Condolence reference was held under the auspices of Balochi Libzakni Dewan and in collaboration with Balochistan Academy of Sciences and Research.
Shayam Kumar, old time fellow of Abdullah Jan Jamaldini presided over the reference and Former Chief Minister (CM) Dr. Malik Baloch was Chief Guest of the program.

Dr. Malik Baloch said in his speech that he can proudly say that he and his fellows are the products of the lat Khana movement started by Abdullah Jan Jamaldini. He also claimed that Abdullah Jan Jamaldini was ideological founder of BSO-Awami due to his political thought.
Shahaym Kumar said that there is no replacement for people like Abdullah Jan Jamaldini. “Balochistan Sunday Party is continuation of Lat Khana movement and it should continue,” He added.
Yar Jan Badini, Chairman of Balochi Libzanki Dewan, said that Abdullah Jan Jamaldini was his mentor and he wrote for Balochi Zind magazine on regular basis. He read the message of Kariana Jehani who had paid tribute to Abdullah Jan Jamaldini.
Yar Jan Badini also demanded from Dr. Malik Baloch to build Mausoleum on the graves of Abdullah Jan Jamaldini and his wife.
Hamid Ali Baloch of Balochi department of University of Balochistan said that Abdullah Jan Jamaldini founded the Balochi department of UOB and this contribution is often ignored.
Others who spoke during the reference include Professor Sail Kakar, Jiand Khan Jamaldini, Ayub Baloch, Ali Turabi, Mumtaz Yousaf and Anjum Brahvi.
