Quetta Attack: 61 Police Cadets Killed in Police Training College

Quetta: Three terrorists, who stormed Police Training College (PTC) in Quetta on Monday night, killed 61 and wounded 120 police cadets, said official sources.
At late night on Monday, 3 terrorists stormed PTC which is located at Sariab Road, 20 KM away from center of Quetta city. 2 terrorist blew themselves up while third one was killed by the law enforcement agencies after a several hour long gunfight in the follow up operation.

According to the official sources, almost 700 unarmed cadets were living in the PTC when it came under the attack.

IG Frontier Corps (FC) Major General Sher Afgan said that Al-Alimi faction of the Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LJ) militant group is responsible for the attack. Later today, ISIS and a faction of TTP also claimed responsible for the attack.

In the aftermath of the attack, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited Quetta city and chaired a high-level meeting on security at the Governor House in Quetta which was attended by top level military and security officials.
