BPSC Criticized for Flaws in Tehsildar Exams

Quetta: Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been severely criticized by candidates taking Tehsildar exams.
A group of candidates appearing in competitive exams of Tehsilar addressed a press conference in Quetta press club on Thursday and lamented poor management on the part of BPSC.
They alleged that there was no serial number on answer copy sheets and that can lead to irregularities during the checking process.

“There were poor sitting arrangements and the candidates were not comfortable while taking exams,” said the candidates. They also alleged that all questions of the English paper were copied from a book authored by R.H Dillion.
A lot of candidates appearing in these exams approached Balochistan Voices and complained about the problems that they are facing. These candidates fear that same sort of irregularities can take place in PCS competitive exams.
Candidates also shared the question papers of the exams on social media which highlighted several flaws. It was alleged that papers for different zones had different level of difficulty which is unfair in a competitive exams, there were proofing errors in question papers and some questions were pure copy and paste jobs from internet.
Candidates also lamented that irrelevant questions were asked in the general knowledge paper and those questions in no way can be considered as “general knowledge.”

Candidates in press conference and also while contacting Balochistan Voices demanded that BPSC must ensure quality in the PCS exams and avoid the blunders committed in Tehsildar exams.
Balochistan Voices could not independently verify the allegations of mismanagement in the examination halls however the allegations in flaws in question papers can be verified as the papers were shared in social media after exams.

BPSC will lose the moral high ground if they committed blunders in PCS exams – candidates

Earlier, Balochistan Government had decided to hold PCS exams on their time when different interest groups were at work to postpone the exams.
Candidates said that BPSC will lose the moral high ground if they committed blunders in PCS exams as they have committed in Tehsildar exams.
