Quetta: Prince Mohyuddin, Chairman Baloch Rabta Ittefaq Tehreek (BRAT), has said that Federal government of Pakistan has to change its Balochistan Policy if it wants to bring peace in the province and success of mega projects like China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Prince Mohyuddin, who is the oldest surviving son of last ruler of Kalat Mir Ahmed Yar Khan, made these comments while addressing a press conference at Aiwan e Kalat, here on Tuesday.

He reiterated that Balochistan is an integral part of Pakistan and any demand for rights of Baloch should not be considered as treason.
He said that when his father Mir Ahmed Yar Khan was Governor of Balochistan, he ushered in an era of peace in Balochistan which lasted for 23 years.
He blamed former President General Pervez Musharraf for stirring unrest in Balochistan for no reason.
Prince Mohyuddin, who had remained federal minister in military ruler Gen Zia ul Haq’s regime, offered that He can play the role of bridge between federal government and Baloch insurgents if given full powers.

He told the participants of the press conference that he has twice met current Khan of Kalat, Mir Suleman Dawood, who is in exile in London. He said that Khan of Kalat maintains that he was sent aboard by high powered Jirga of Baloch and only the same Jirga can call him back.
He said that Pakistan can only become a viable country if the people from all the ethnic groups are given due representation in administration of country.
He criticized the current political setup in Balochistan and termed it a corrupt system which is meant to politically bribe the political leaders so that they do not question the federal government.

In response to a question about census in Balochistan, he said that only citizens with valid Pakistani nationalities should be counted. “Afghan refugees should not be counted in the forthcoming census in anyway,” he said.
He rejected the demand brought forth by leader of PkMAP that Pakistani citizenship should be given to Afghan refugees.
“Baloch and Pashtun enjoy cordial relations for centuries and some political parties are trying to create rifts between them for their vested interests,” he said.
