Gwadar: University of Turbat has inaugurated its Gwadar campus. The campus will award degrees in 4 subjects which include Commerce, Information Technology, Bed and Management Sciences in starting.
The campus would be upgraded to university in future, said Professor Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Vice Chancellor University of Turbat, while expressing his views during inaugural ceremony of the campus.
“In this regard development work is continued on different projects and no compromise will be accepted in imparting Quality education,” Mr. Razzaq maintained.
He further added that the university would function in accordance with the set of rules maintained by universities of international repute along with awarding degrees in different internationally recognized subjects. Mr. Razzaq emphasized that after creating nexus with high standard Chinese educational institutions, a CPEC study center would also be initiated.
“Merit based appointments will be ensured because it is the right of local people which will be fully implemented. To keep our youth ready to face future challenges we will conduct short term courses in different subjects,” Mr. Razzaq assured.
Chairman GDA, Mir Dostain Khan Jamaldini, Chairman Gwadar, Babu Gulab, Advocate General Balochistan, Aman Ullah Kaanrani, Chairman Municipal Committee, Abid Rahim Sohrabi and other speakers also addressed the audience. They said universities were the key to create positivity in people and nations. They further said Gwadar had a history of great and renowned personalities; and it was duty of upcoming generation to keep working hard and avail all educational opportunities for a brighter future for an educated Balochistan.
