Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, administered oath to the newly elected office bearers of Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ), on Monday.
Chief Minister Balochistan was the chief guest of the oath taking ceremony of new cabinet of BUJ which took place in Quetta Press Club. BUJ is the main union of journalists of Balochistan.

Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said in his speech congratulated the officer bearers of BUJ. He said that He has had relations with media persons since his youth and personally know most of the office bearers of BUJ. He ensured the BUJ members that all problems of working journalists in Balochistan will be resolved soon.
Earlier in the ceremony, President BUJ Khalil Ahmad appreciated CM Balochistan for attending the oath taking ceremony. “We will continue our struggle for freedom of speech in Balochistan,” vowed new president of BUJ.

Ayub Tareen, General Secretary of BUJ, presented the list of demands on behalf of BUJ. He said that journalists in Balochistan are working in very hard conditions and they don’t enjoy the same privileges as journalists of other provinces.
“Heirs of Two journalists who lost their lives in Civil Hospital blast last year got lesser compensation from government as compared to heirs of lawyers,” lamented Mr. Tareen.
We plead from CM Balochistan to allocate special seats for children of journalists in technical institutes such as Medical Colleges, Information Technology Universities and Engineering Universities – Ayub Tareen
He demanded that 70 acre land approved by CM Balochistan or journalists housing society should be allocated soon. “We plead from CM Balochistan to allocate special seats for children of journalists in technical institutes such as Medical Colleges, Information Technology Universities and Engineering Universities.”
Sardar Raza Barech, Advisor to CM on Information, announced in his speech that Secretary Information and DGPR will held meeting with BUJ office bearers and will discuss the solution of all problems of BUJ.
In the end President of BUJ, Khalil Ahmad, presented a shield to CM of Balochistan.
