Quetta: Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) Balochistan and Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industries organized Federal Budget 2017-18 Consultative Session, on Wednesday.
SMEDA has initiated a national wide consultation process to solicit inputs for federal budget 2017-18, by approaching around 250 SME stakeholders including SMEs, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Trade Associations, provincial and federal organizations and Sector Development Companies.
The objective of the consultative workshop at Quetta was to solicit SME specific recommendations for Federal Budget 2017-18. Around 50 participants from different SME sector, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Trade Associations, Academia and Women Entrepreneurs attended the session.
Mr. Abdul Wadood Achakzai, President Quetta Chamber of Commerce & Industry welcomed the participants and appreciated SMEDA’s initiative consulting SME sector and business community to get their inputs for upcoming federal budget 2017-18.
Mr. Shakoor Ahmed, Provincial Chief (SMEDA, Balochistan) briefed about the process and informed that these budget recommendations will be submitted to the Ministry of Industries and Production, Ministry of Finance and FBR for incorporation in the budget 2017-18.
Mr. Mehfooz Ali Khan, Ex-Secretary Finance, Mr. Ghulam Sarwar Mengal Member SMEDA BOD, President WCCI, Director Agriculture Ext, Chairman Economic Department BUITEMS, President Balochistan Chromite Mines Owners Association (BCMOA), Sr. Member BOR, DG Mines & Minerals were among the participants.
