It was Sunny day on Wednesday 8th of February. As usual the students of different departments were sitting together with their colleagues, classmates and friends to enjoy the sunny light in different small grounds of University. A student of BS (Hons) from Balochistan was accompanied by his female classmate for a discussion of quiz and assignment .
Students affiliated with Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) while roaming there targeted the young boy who is on full scholarship from Baluchistan. They went and approached that students and beat him up senselessly In front of more than hundred students including his class girls. The IJT students have made the university a joke. Afterr beating the student the IJT assailant then went away freely without any fear in mind. No action was taken by the University Administration immediately and yet.
After two days of the incident some Pashtun Students who were just returning from Jumma prayers standing in front of Student Teacher Center, where a cafeteria is situated, the IJT group of Roguish were there and ask nefariously to one of the Pashtun Student to keep away from Pashtun Education Development Movement or join us otherwise you will face the consequences. He replied I am from Balochistan and with my Pashtun fellows why should I join IJT for no serious reason. After that the IJT students all at once started abusing him and other Pashtun students who were standing along with him. Abruptly the clash broke out between two groups of the Students.
IJT already informed their other fellows from different colleges and universities. They were also the participant of clash as a result many student from Balochistan, KP and FATA were badly injured in a brutal Clash. A year ago in the same month they firstly burnt the room of Baloch students and then attacked Pashtun and Baloch students with heavy sticks and stones. In a recent clash they have seized all the rooms of the Balochistan and KP Students.
It is strongly condemnable that they have made the University hostage however on the other hand the administration of the university is decrepit and helpless to act against these goon like students. We strongly demand from the Punjab Government to take notice of the incident soon and punish the culprits.
