International Women’s Day Celebrated in Quetta

Quetta: A program was arranged with the collaboration of Balochistan government at Officers Club to commemorate International Women’s Day, on Wednesday.

International Women’s Day, originally called International Working Women’s Day, is celebrated on March 8 every year. It commemorates the movement for women’s rights. This day was celebrated in all over Balochistan with passion to show solidarity with women, this year.

Speaking at the occasion, speakers said that International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.
Balochistan women department is unable to arrange different programs due to the lack of funds, said speakers.
