Prime Minister Requested to Scrap Coal Power Plant in Hub

Hub: In a newspaper advert published in Dawn Newspaper on 20th March, Former Speaker of Balochistan Assembly Aslam Bhootani appealed from Prime Minister of Pakistan to scrap the proposed coal power plant in Hub due to environmental concerns.
The advertisement was titled Hubco’s Power Plant at Gaddani “Rumination in the name of Development.”
In his appeal to Prime Minister, Mr. Bhootnai said that “We understand the pressing Energy needs but this should not be at the cost of human life. Therefore we request you to ask Hubco to scrap this project.
In this same advertisement, former speakers also made the same appeal to Chinese Ambassador, Chief Ministers of Sindh and Balochistan.
Later, the same night, Mr. Bhootnai claimed on social media “Yes, Now Officially Confirmed Prime Minister Not Coming at Hubco Coal Power at Gaddani, My Appeal Works.”
However it’s not officially confirm that will the Hubcos coal power plant would be inaugurated or not.
