Shahzada Zulfiqar Becomes First Working Journalist in Balochistan to Receive Pride of Performance Award

Quetta: Shahzada Zulfiqar, President of Quetta Press Club and Bureau Chief of Bol News in Balochistan, became the first working journalist in history of Balochistan to receive Presidential Award for Pride of Performance.
This award was conferred on him by Governor of Balochistan Mohammad Khan Achakzai on behalf of President of Pakistan in a ceremony held in Governor House, today.
Dr. Javed Iqbal, Vice Chancellor of University of Balochistan was the other recipient of Pride of Performance Award from Balochistan.
Presidential Awards are conferred on citizens who have achieved distinction in their field on Pakistan day every year in President House Islamabad and all four Governor Houses in provincial capitals.

Shahzada Zulfiqar is a veteran journalist of Balochistan whose career has spanned almost three decades. He has mostly worked in English print journalism and lately joined electronic media. Over the course of his journalistic career he has worked for The Nation, Pakistan Today, AFP, Newsline, Samaa TV and Bol News amongst others.
Mr. Zulfiqar was also elected member of FEC of PFUJ in elections which took place in Quetta last week.
People from different walks of life have congratulated Mr. Zulfiqar for receiving Pride of Performance Award.
