Quetta: Raza ur Rehman, Bureau Chief Express News, was elected President of Quetta Press Club for next two years, on Friday.
Journalist Panel made a clean sweep against Worker Journalist Panel in elections of Quetta Press Club.
Abdul Khaliq Rind, chief reporter of Jang Newspaper Quetta, was elected General Secretary of Quetta Press Club.
Others elected from the Journalist Panel were Afzal Mughal (Senior Vice President), Saadia Jahangir (Vice President), Khalid Gujjar (Senior Joint Secretary), Atmi Roger (Joint Secretary) and Zafar Baloch (Finance Secretary).
Mir Nadir Chalgari Advocate was the chairman of the election committee and announced the results.
Earlier, Khalil Ahmed was elected President of Balochistan Union of Journalists in February and the elections of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) were held in Quetta in March.
