Quetta: Social Media users across Balochistan are demanding action against Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA), Abdul Majeed Achakzai, for allegedly running over his vehicle over Traffic Police Sergeant.
Abdul Majeed Achakzai belongs to Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) and currently he is the chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
Haji Attaullah Dasti, 42, a Traffic Sergeant was performing his duty on Shaheed Fayaz Sunbal Chowk on Tuesday evening when a Vehicle ran over him. He was taken to Trauma center but succumbed to injuries soon.
Vehicle belonged to Abdul Majeed Achakzai and police arrested his driver for the death of Traffic Sergeant.
Some sources have alleged that in fact Abdul Majeed Achakzai himself was driving the vehicle and now he is scapegoating his driver to get away with the murder of Traffic Sergeant.
Later when Civil Lines Police Station registered the First Information Report (FIR) of the crime they blamed “Unidentified people” in the report despite the fact that vehicle of Abdul Majeed Achakzai had run over Traffic Sergeant in front of many eyewitnesses.
After registering of FIR, social media users across the province have started campaign to provide justice to slain Traffic Sergeant. They demand action against MPA Abdul Majeed Achakzai.
A post published on Awal e Balochistan Facebook page demanded from Judiciary to take sou-moto notice of the case.
Post of Balochistan Police page posted the picture of slain traffic constable and FIR copy in a meaningful way.
Imdad Baloch from Civil Society Balochistan criticized PKMAP and termed it a fascist party.
On twitter, activists used the hashtag #JusticeForPoliceSargent to discuss this issue.

Social Media Manager of Balochistan Voices tweeted that Traffic Police Sergeant Case should be dealt above political and ethnic lines and the culprits should not get away.

Another post questioned the justice system where FIR was registered against unidentified people.

Likewise, similar demands were made in several WhatsApp groups where users demanded legal action against MPA Abdul Majeed Achakzai.
