Not Giving Permission for Public Gathering is Undemocratic: Akhtar Mengal

Quetta: Balochistan government is afraid of our publicity and not allowing us to hold a public gathering in Quetta which is undemocratic, said President of BNP Sardar Akhtar Mengal. He made these comments while addressing a press conference in Quetta Press Club, on Thursday.

Flanked by Sardar Asghar Achakzai principal President of ANP, Abdul Khaliq Hazara President of HDP and Dr. Abdul Hayee Baloch President of BNM, Mengal said that “incumbent Balochistan government is afraid of our popularity among people and therefore preventing us in the name of security from holding public gathering.”

Sardar Akhtar Mengal thanked all political parties, workers and other tribal leaders for supporting BNP candidate in NA-260 by-polls. “Huge amount of votes received by BNP candidate and poor performance of ruling parties proved our claim of rigging on NA-260 elections in 2013,” He claimed.
Hinting towards the alliance of JUI-F and National Party, Former Chief Minister said that JUI-f has taught Recitation of Holy Quran to Hasil Bizenjo and method of prayer to Dr. Malik Baloch.
Sardar Asghar Achakzai said that main motive of three party alliance is to bring together people of different ethnicities and eradicate ethnic hatred. “Security is always used as a pretext to keep us away from people,” alleged Mr. Achakzai.
“Government is afraid of our alliance but we will continue our alliance till achievement of the objective of peace and prosperity in Balochistan,” Said Dr. Hayee Baloch.
“We will keep on our political struggle despite the persisting atmosphere of terrorism and target killings,” said Abdul Khaliq Hazara President of HDP.
