Quetta: Data Journalism story of Balochistan Voices about population census results of Balochistan made it into the top-10 Data Journalism stories of Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN).
Earlier, in June Data story of Balochistan Voices about education budget utilization of Balochistan also made it in the top-10 list of GIJN.
GIJN is an association of 145 non-profits in 62 countries and works for promotion of investigative journalism around the globe.
Population census data story of Balochistan Voices established that there has not been any major change in the ethnic balance of the province. However it revealed that population growth rate and gender imbalance has increased in the province.
Balochistan Voices holds the distinction of publishing first Data Journalism story in Balochistan.
