Islamabad: Editor Balochistan Voices, Adnan Aamir, won fourth journalism award of his career, on Monday. He won the Agahi Award for Journalist of the Year on Police Reforms Category.
He won the award for a news story, where He had criticized the possible merger of Balochistan Levies into Police.
In the past, Adnan has won Agahi Awards for Journalist of the year in Business and economy reporting in 2016, Data journalism in 2018. He has also won the award for reporting on Delimitation organized by the Center for Excellence in Journalism at IBA.
Apart from editing Balochistan Voices and doing freelance journalism, Adnan has also attended numerous fellowships and Exchange programs. He has attended International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) of the U.S State Department in 2017, Young Connectors of the future program of Swedish Institute in 2018, Chevening South Asian Journalism Fellowship in 2018 and most recently Reporters Without Borders Germany Fellowship on Digital Security in 2019.
