Replacement of Levies Force with Police is a flawed mechanism already tried and canceled in the Province.
Despite the roaming threat of Coronavirus, the Balochistan Government has notified the transfer of key officials in the Balochistan Levies force. Public administration is meant to facilitate the public not to harm their sentiments for the sake of vested interest. This tribal force is cost-effective and security efficient. The public is also easy to deal with representatives of the state in the form of their locals, because of shared tribal values.
The role of levies force is of high value in such crucial times of medical emergency. Being locals of the area they have knowledge of our districts and they know how to educate the tribal public about the deadly corona.
