Quetta: When provincial finance minister Zahood Buledi started budget speech the opposition members threw the budget documents in front of the speaker’s chair and left the session.
The Assembly converted into a fish market when Malik Naeem Bazai called Opposition Leader “Toppi Drama.”
The Opposition members condemned these allegations and demanded from Bazai to take back his words. Speaker Balochistan Assembly Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo dismissed membership of Akbar Mengal for throwing a Sanitizer and Zia Langove for threatening the opposition members.
Asghar Khan Achakzai, the parliamentary leader Awami National Party, demanded from the government to provide the Levies force with modern technology and weapons for rapid response during any emergency situation. Later, he walked out along with Minister Agriculture Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai and Special Assistant to CM Balochistan for Excise and Taxation Malik Naeem Bazai from the budget session due to no increase in Levies personnel salaries.
Lala Rasheed Dashti of BAP said that some schemes are in pending his constituency since last year’s budget. “This year funding has been denied after saying that it was a printing mistake and the government will approve the said scheme next year.”
While talking on the occasion Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan said that there is an issue of misunderstanding among MPA’s which will be tackled. He said that his government will do their best to equally work on every constituency of Balochistan.
Jam Kamal Khan added Government is working to provide new technologies to Levies force in the future. He said that the government aims to improve the health sector in Balochistan.
Ahmad Nawaz Baloch, MPA Balochistan National party, said that we have highlighted all the issues to CM Balochistan on different forums but no one has listened to our voice. Now the budget has been approved when MPA’s of the ruling party are talking about injustice with them.
Opposition Leader Balochistan Assembly Malik Sikandar Advocate later said during a press conference along with other members that there is not a single scheme for people welfare in provincial budget and government is just relying on huge announcements. Malik Sikandar added that government employees have been completely deprived of the budget.
He added that Opposition will fight on the frontline for the rights of people on every forum. We will lodge a plea against PSDP at Balochistan High court.
