QUETTA: An eighth-grade student who went missing last Friday from Rawalpindi has returned home safe and sound, his cousin confirmed to Balochistan Voices, on Monday.
Bashir Ahmed was found from Safora Chorangi Karachi, said Muzzafar Ahmed Mengal adding that “[Bashir] called his elder brother the other day and asked him please come here to pick me up I am here nearby Safora Chorangi Karachi.”
Bashir had gone missing last Friday from Rawalpindi, whose disappearance case was lodged in Saddiqabad Police Station Rawalpindi, his abduction was being investigated when he was recovered from Karachi.
Expressing happiness and thanking people from all walks of life, Muzzafar Mengal said “I am very thankful to all and especially MPA Sanaullah Baloch, who supported Bashir and his family in these testing times and raised their voice against his mysterious disappearance.”
As per local police, during his statement before police officials, Bashir had stated that he was brought to Karachi by his friends and he forgot to inform his family about his sudden departure, they added despite repeated requests to disclose his friend’s names, Bashir refused to disclose.
